Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers

NFC Championship

The magical run of the Detroit Lions has been fun to watch. Dan Campbell has created a culture that any football fan can get behind. After defeating the La Rams in the wildcard and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round, the Lions will play in the NFC championship for the first time since 1992. The bright spot of this team is how effective and efficient their offense has been in the entire playoffs. Jared Goff has led this team without committing any turnovers, which has been a big reason for this team's success. If the Lions can get their impressive rushing offense of Gibbs and Montgomery working against the Niners, they have a great shot at winning this game. They will go into San Francisco against the number-one-seeded 49ers, who might have shown that they are humans and not a super team.

The 49ers are back in their third straight NFC championship, and they simply have a stronger roster than the Lions. Both of these teams are similar in having great front sevens and weak secondaries that could ultimately create a pass-heavy game for both teams. The Niners do have a concern with Debo Samuel, as he is questionable to play this weekend. If they manage to lose him, that could change the course of the entire offense for San Francisco. Having Christian McCaffrey in the backfield is a luxury for the Niners, as he has been one of, if not the best, players in the NFL this year. Look for CMC to be the most involved player this weekend. Like Jared Goff and the Lions, Brock Purdy has been impressive and did not have any turnovers against the Packers. If Purdy can continue running with the script of coach Kyle Shanahan and not play hero ball, they can win against Detroit.
