Philidelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Recap

The Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s blow out the beaten and battered Eagles, who made the Super Bowl last year. After a rocky end to the season, they barely beat the worst team in the league. They came out swinging this week and performed a master class against the Eagles. Baker played the perfect role for this offense by being a perfect game manager. Baker Mayfield went 22/36 for 337 yards and 3 touchdowns. Todd Bowles’s defense keeps this team in check by only allowing nine points. The Bucs will need to improve on consistency, which could haunt them in the next round. Bucs receivers dropped over a dozen passes throughout the whole game. They will play the Detroit Lions in next week's matchup. They will have a handful with this impressive Detroit offense, which has been hot all year.

The Eagles have been nothing but disappointing over the last 6-7 weeks. Dealing with a handful of injuries, poor playcalling, and a lack of tackling led to an early playoff exit for Philly. The fact that this team represented the NFC last year in the Super Bowl makes this situation even worse. They also started 10-1 on the season to only have one of the most dysfunctional, lackluster ends to the season ever. The team was 0-9 on third downs last night and looked lost. There seemed to be no adjustments throughout the game, which led to many stalling drives and only 9 points to show. They are heading into the offseason, where there will be a potential defensive coordinator change. This roster is still loaded with talent, but they are losing their Hall of Fame center, Jason Kelce, to retirement. A lot has changed this year for Philly; let's just hope they don't continue to go downhill from here.
